CLAT Mock Test Rules

Our mock test simulates the actual CLAT exam environment. Here are the key rules:

1. The test duration is 120 minutes (2 hours).
2. There are 150 multiple-choice questions.
3. Each question carries 1 mark for a correct answer.
4. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
5. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
6. You must complete the test within the stipulated time. The timer will automatically submit your test.
7. No external resources or electronic gadgets are allowed during the test.

CLAT Scoring and Passing Marks

CLAT is scored out of a total of 150 marks. Each correct answer fetches 1 mark, and each incorrect answer leads to a deduction of 0.25 marks. Unattempted questions do not incur any penalty. There are no official 'passing marks' as such; admission is based on a merit list derived from the scores and the preferences of candidates for different NLUs. Higher scores result in better ranks and a higher probability of securing a seat in a top NLU. The cut-off scores vary each year based on the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of seats available.
